i think i have hit a road block): i cant seem to think up any creative ideas, well i can but they dont seem to connect with the rest of my work or with me, i dont want much help in thinking up ideas as i would like my photos to mean something to me and  feel like it would make me feel better to know that it is completely original and my own. Camera Angles++

As the Buddha is stringed up, as apposed to it meaning being trapped or being all tied up and confused, i wanted to give it a meaning that was juxtaposed to the cliche of entrapment, and give it a meaning more about safety and comfort. many of the photos involve not only the Buddha but also the green stone which is symbolic of my culture and heritage, it means that i am very comfortable with being open about myself, also i am comfortable with the amount of expectations of being Maori. the string signifies the close bond that i have not only with my culture but also with the many challenges that i face with myself, the many obstacles that are in my way.

similar backgrounds

for a specific section of my folio i wanted to create an effect where all of my photos have a similar background to show grouping, and familiarity, also to decrease the randomness of how the objects, physically, seem different, and bring out what they mean as a metaphor. I thought that a lighter background helped to bring out some shapes that the reflections make, it also helps to define the shape of the overall object.

in the first photo, the point of interest in in the third vertical intersecting line, the object is covering the second and the third sections.

in the second photo the point of interest is in the first and the second sections, the Buddha is looking away and signifies how i am looking ahead to the future and the photo behind it signifies my past with the photo infront of it is to signify my future.

this photo is of my Buddha, as he is looking forward i am looking forward, i am not turning to my past and i am concentrating on  my future.

The next section of my folio will be prodominantly "white spaced" or in other words, my images will have clean white backgrounds to give an effect of many images in one photo, with me using the white space early in my folio it gives me freedom to experiment with white space later on without it being random or being out of place. One reason for doing this is not only to show the "space" between each one of my objects, but also to show how they all tie into a bigger picture with fusing them all in together with the same colour background.
